The code list for epilepsy diagnosis was produced under the advice of neurologist Dr James Lilleker. The list was compared to published lists and discussed with the author of the most recent published list, at the time (Pickrell WO. Re: Correspondance to 'Epilepsy and deprivation, a data linkage study'. 2015). The code lists for neuropathic pain, migraine and substance misuse were checked by two GPs: Dr Ben Brown and Dr Tom Blakeman
